New Hours for Calyan Wax Co. Retail Store

Hi there, friends!

We are updating the hours of our retail store in south Arlington.

This will be the last week that you can shop from Monday-Thursday. Starting the week of October 23rd, we will only be open on Fridays of each week. We will be closed Monday-Thursday.

WHY ARE WE CHANGING THE HOURS?

This shift in our schedule is a result of the evolving needs of our business. While we have really loved the in-person interactions at our retail store, the demand for our candle products through shipping has grown significantly. In light of this, we're shifting more of our resources and team's focus towards supporting our store partners across the USA.

We encourage you to shop online or visit our online map to find a store near you that carries our candles.

NEW HOURS + GARAGE SALE FRIDAYS

We will still be open on Friday each week from 9am to 4pm. Garage Sale Fridays will still be happening on the last Friday of every month.

NO OFFICIAL GARAGE SALE FRIDAY FOR OCTOBER + NOVEMBER

Wow, I know we are changing a lot of things right now but stick with us. We have good reasons. :)

There will be no official Garage Sale Friday on October 27th. We are hosting a private event that day. This month has been very busy and we have some exciting updates to share later on. You'll understand soon!

We will also be no official Garage Sale Friday our November 24th Garage Sale because that's the day after Thanksgiving and we are closed.

BUT, you can come shop garage sale candles any Friday in October (just not the 27th).

Lavender + Bergamot - my favorite scents

The reason this beautiful scent got 4 stars rather than 5 is because as beautiful as it is, it seems to dissipate rapidly and require many sprays, many times in order to keep the fragrance active.

I love these candles!

Calyan candles are superior to many other brands I have used. Besides the wonderful smells, they burn cleanly and evenly. And the containers are simple and lovely. I particularly appreciate the bergamot and lavender ones because I find they really induce relaxation; I burn one every night before I go to sleep. Plus, the service at Calyan is fantastic. One candle recently arrived broken; I called Calyan, and a replacement was sent out the same day. I have recently decided that I'm not even bothering with other candle brands because I love Calyan so much.

Candle has powder-like after scent

I'm a fan of Calyan candles, started using 2 of their candles during last fall and the scents were dreamy! I was excited to use this candle, but after it was burning for a few minutes - it emitted a powder-like smell that led me to keep on sneezing. I went back to Whole Foods and sniffed their other "Spring" candles and found that they all had a powder-like undertone. So I don't know how these new scents were formulated, but sadly I can't seem to tolerate them bc of this powder-like smell.

Best candles ever!!

I bought a small jar candle at a boutique shop and loved it so much, that I went to the website for more. My faves so far are evergreen & eucalyptus and vetiver & Tonka. I bought the three wick and let me tell you, you can smell it in the whole house, even my sister couldn't believe how fragrant it is. But the thing that really made me love these candles are how absolutely clean they burn, I've never seen candles burn so clean. I'm in love.

Love the brand, but not a fan of this scent

I bought this in the hopes of having a more grapefruit forward scent, but this is too floral and just one I don't enjoy. It's kind of the bummer about buying candles online, you really can't tell from the names and notes if it will mesh with your preferences. I'm sure i can return, but it's such a hassle so I'll probably give to a friend. Will definitely stick to my tried and true favorites from Calyan, and not purchase without smelling in person first...
